It's 2022 and Jabatan Imegresen Malaysia has implemented online renew system. Duhhh finally.

Now kalau nak renew passport wajib submit application online unless passport hilang or rosak. The issue is the system kadang tak stable and has error yang menguji kesabaran. They have long list of rule kat website tu semua kena ikut la.

I decided to take photo kat kedai then ask for softcopy senang sikit orang kedai tu dah resize siap-siap. Sekarang ni softcopy direct sent to email takde pakai cd dah.

Then opened Firefox browser, go to the website, click renew, bla bla, upload photo, click next, then nothing. Takde pape keluar tapi cannot proceed to next page. Try again few time, still same. Resize photo, try again pun sama jugak. Geram betul. 

Tukar browser Chrome try again sama jugak stuck situ je after upload photo. Lepas tu try la guna browser Edge sebab well, website kerajaan selalunya compatible dengan IE/Edge je kan. Haaa betul la lepas upload gambar elok je ada keluar error message size gambar tak ikut spesifikasi. Apesal kat Firefox and Chrome tak keluar error message?! Buat orang confuse sebab stuck page tu je. 

Rupanya need to resize again my photo so I used this site and finally boleh proceed to payment page. Buat online payment and done. Rate masih sama as 5 tahun lepas, RM200 valid 5 tahun. 

Tunggu je confirmation email and lepas tu can go pick up at selected pejabat imigresen. Kalau in three days tak dapat any email boleh terus datang pejabat. 

Thing to bring untuk pickup passport online renewal: 

• Passport lama
• IC
• Resit bayaran (hardcopy, please print) 

Lepas few hours I dapat email, excited cam wahh laju process ingatkan 3 hari. Sekali baca content email macam ni pulak

“Permohonan telah TANGGUH/SIASATAN kerana CAP JARI TIDAK SAH”

Alahai. So I decided to datang je terus imigresen esoknya untuk check this issue, bawak je 3 document tu. I decided untuk datang UTC malam sebab dengarnya orang kata malam tak ramai sangat orang. Reached there at 7.15pm, kaunter tutup gelap je will open back at 8pm. So buat urusan lain dulu then I came back tepat pukul 8pm line depan pintu tu dah panjang urgh.

Rupanya takde masalah datang je they will process time tu jugak. Patutnya kalau takde issue akan dapat email

Tu maksudnya passport dah ready and printed, pemohon tinggal amik je. Cepat sikit la urusan sebab tinggal verify and sign je so maybe waiting time less than 30 minutes depending on your no giliran.

Mine lama sikit la sebab they baru nak process kan so I got my passport after sejam tunggu. No more ambil gambar or buat payment at the counter haa at least part tu senang sikit dah cut a lot of waiting time. 9pm dah keluar dari UTC dengan passport baru.

 

Just realized my last post here is on Feb 2021, exactly a year ago. 

I received some email recording the blog baru la teringat this safe space of mine. 

Fast forward setahun kemudian, we still fighting COVID19 virus. Dah lebih 2 tahun so I guess it is our new normal. Face mask, social distancing, doing things remotely is our way of live now. Now we are facing a new Omicron variant with higher infection rates so cases are back to 10k daily. Sigh.

But we have vaccine now! I have received mine, siap need a booster shot cause the virus keep on mutated. Dah boleh keluar negera with strict SOP need to follow. We are slowly back on track, takde la hanya terkurung sebab vaccine reduce severity, alhamdulillah.

As for my life, this year goal is to take better care of my self in all aspect: physical, emotional, mental, spiritual. I hope you are working on your own goal too. May Allah ease everything for us.
